The official 2011 – 2012 cruise planner is a helpful tool to become familiar with when looking for all inclusive cruise packages. Planning a cruise, especially if it is your first one, can be time consuming and a bit overwhelming. Here at The Wise Tourist, we do our best to highlight special cruise packages and promotions that many of the larger cruise we sites don’t want you to know about. Chances are those cruise web sites are promotional tools as a storefront for travel agents that are losing market share to savvy shoppers like us.
Let’s think about the 2011 – 2012 cruise planner season. There are several new ship to set sail in 2011 – 2012 cruise time frame. The cruise line operators are already bending over backwards with heavily discounted cruise deals that will entice you to book right away. Don’t do it! Not yet, at least. There is plenty of time to make reservations so for now, just site back, relax and study all the options that are here for you.
American Express is teaming up with major cruise line Carnival for several promotions. They plan to classify each option in a pull-down menu that will sort by cruise type. Plans are to focus particular amount of attention to senior citizens, retired people and cruises for persons over 55 years old. Hint – If you are not in that category and don’t want to be trapped with people that are your parents’ age then take note of the descriptions and let the buyer beware.
Rumors are flowing about the water cooler that are hinting Visa plans a big announcement soon with all inclusive cruise packages featuring Disney, Princess and Oceania. Don’t hold me to this but we’ve heard that entertainment of the upscale voyages will include shows with Jennifer Lopez and interviews with Oprah Winfrey. Don’t be surprised if one of these lines makes their first appearance in the European Barge Cruises market segment.
Not to be outdone, Discovery Card is teaming with Silversea, the world’s most luxurious cruise line, to feature custom select cruises with celebrity chefs which we are restricted from revealing at this time. Check out our sister cruise web site, Voyage Masters. They are allowed a little more breathing room than I have here. Chances are the celebrity chefs for Silversea 2011 -2012 will be announced there first. Drop me a sitemail and I’ll give you more details. If you don’t mind spending a good deal of money for a lifetime cruising experience, I know firsthand that Silversea is as good as it gets.
